Everlux Maritime e-News 5 |
July 2017 |
Wow! It has been quite a while since our previous e-News! Everlux team have been busy and therefore there are many news to announce! And what could be a better way of doing it than with this 5th edition of the Everlux Maritime e-News? We are keeping our course within the marine & offshore markets and it is likely that you have seen us at some of the industry events. For example, in the first semester of 2017 our products have been showcased at Sea Asia in Singapore, Nor-shipping in Oslo and more recently at SeaWork International in Southhampton! |
It is wonderful to mingle and connect with the global maritime community and therefore we are already preparing our debut at Seatrade Europe – Cruise & River Cruise Convention. This event will be held in Hamburg from the 6th to the 8th of September and targets the cruise and river cruise segments of the market in which Everlux has a significant experience in. |
|
November will bring the return of Everlux to Europort – the exhibition for maritime technology. This will be our second consecutive participation and we are thrilled to go back to Rotterdam! So mark the 7th to the 10th of November in your calendar and get underway to the Netherlands! |
|
We have also recently launched a new version of the Everlux Maritime APP which is available for free at the App stores. We recall that this is a fantastic tool to have on your mobile as it will help you to quickly develop onboard surveys and BOQ’s of signs that may be missing on the vessels that you are servicing. The Everlux Maritime APP is now quicker and smoother to use. |

This
version of the catalogue contains some new signs and new products such as the
multiple colour rolls for pipe marking according to ISO 14726 and NORSOK L-004;
and safety signage according to the Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 on
classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures. It also
features an increased number of safety signs for super yachts and water safety
as well as updated safety awareness and training procedure panels. All of this
to help you to keep your vessels up to the latest standards and regulations.
For example, with the entry in to force of the Polar Code in January 1st
2017, it was necessary to update the MARPOL "Do not Discharge Garbage
Overboard” panel which now must contain specific regulation information for
vessels navigating Polar waters. |
|
Still on
the Polar Code subject, the Everlux Maritime catalogue now contains a new mandatory
action sign that will remind you of the need to prevent ice and snow accretion
on escape routes: |
Have a great summer! |
